Cory Almeida was born and raised in the heart pounding, blood pumping, always exciting town of Rumford, RI! Ok, maybe that was a slight exaggeration, but so is Cory. Never afraid to turn something trivial into the most grandiose discovery, he loves taking things to that extreme.

It’s no surprise that his career path has led him straight to the hosting world. Growing up he feared EVERY report card, as each teacher would comment, “Talks Too Much.” Go figure…

The truth is, Cory says there’s only one person to blame for his need to entertain…ready…deep breath…Michael Jackson! “I was watching the 1983 Motown 25 special and MJ showed off the moonwalk for the first time. I remember thinking the WHOLE WORLD HAS STOPPED, because of ONE MAN!” From that moment on, he recorded, watched and mastered EVERY SINGLE move, from a VCR (remember those)! Thus, his passion for dance, his love for music and his desire to entertain was born.

Cory attended Emerson College in Boston, MA where he continued his journey. He was an on-air radio personality at the #1 college radio station in the country for 3 years. He journeyed out here his final semester as part of Emerson’s “LA program” and has never looked back. He booked his first audition as a dancer, that’s right a hip-hop dancer for Universal Studios Hollywood. From there, he danced for other live shows, as well as for a number of pop artists.

Cory then transitioned from dancer, to DJ, to host and has found a nice home there. He hosted the Hi Fi Room on FOX Family interviewing music stars such as, Christina Aguilera, Mandy Moore, Destiny’s Child, N’Sync and more. He’s conducted red carpet interviews at the Teen Choice & Kid’s Choice Awards and doesn’t have a problem interacting with A-list celebs, especially when they request a song at an event he’s DJing!

He has been called upon by hit shows like, “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Dancing with the Stars,” and the Grand Daddy of em all, “American Idol” to entertain live audiences by the thousands with his quick wit, contagious charm and of course, that “Talkative” spirit!

Cory is super thankful for his blessings in this industry. After all, where else can a Sports Freak, Tech Geek with a Metrosexual flair wake up and do what he loves every single day!
