Winston A. Marshall

Biography

Winston A. Marshall is an actor, comedian, on-air personality and self proclaimed “Swaggy Blerd” (Black Nerd).  He is a proud native Texan of partial West Indian descent, who lives and breathes entertainment.

Winston has always loved doing impressions and voices, mimicking anyone he heard. Early on he turned this passion into a job working with Radio Disney as a Voice Over artist from 5th grade until high school.

Winston attended Occidental College earning a BA in Theater and a Minor degree in Japanese.  After graduation he remained in LA to pursue acting full-time. He discovered stand-up as a means of venting about being the only black-guy in often very white spaces.

He also discovered hosting as another avenue to creatively express himself. (And to clown around). In 2016 he started his own web series, Positive Black People News, which is similar in format and style to The Daily Show, but features positive news stories from in and around the black community

In 2016, Winston was nominated for Best Actor in NBCU’s Short Film Festival and since his Radio Disney days he has worked with various content creators including: REVOLT, Fullscreen, BlackTreeTV, Buzzfeed and major Youtubers Ray William Johnson (Equals 3) and NicePeter (Epic Rap Battles of History).
