Andrea Feczko

Biography

Andrea Feczko (pronounced ON-dree-uh FETCH-koh) is an accomplished TV Personality, Content Creator, YouTube celebrity and Travel Expert. Andrea's expanding social media following and impressive digital footprint have made her a recognizable face around the world. Her YouTube videos have received over 200 million views - one of which went viral, garnering over 130 million views and named the most-watched musical parody of all time.

Currently, Andrea is a Host and Senior Producer at The QYou, a growing international network that streams 24/7, producing the world's most popular short form content. You can also catch Andrea getting her glowstick on at EDM's worldwide ULTRA festivals, or exploring fascinating destinations and embarking on adventures - or misadventures - for How 2 Travelers (H2T). Andrea's quick wit and fun energy have landed her jobs on HLN, MTV, FX, CBS, SyFy, Fuse and Yahoo!, among many others.

THE BEGINNING

Andrea's story began in a traditional fashion. The youngest child in a Midwest family, Andrea spent her younger years daydreaming in the backseat of her mom's minivan while being carted between her brother's baseball practices and her sister's figure skating lessons. Note: Andrea was also a competitive figure skater, until giving up an Olympic hopeful career at the ripe old age of 12. At 14, Andrea became the first member of her family to travel internationally (no, she doesn't count her parent's honeymoon in Toronto as international) and went to Australia and New Zealand as a US Ambassador. A self-professed geek in high school, she learned the transformative power of a passport, where she could go from Lowlife to Socialite in a mere 18 hour plane ride. Thank you boys at Toowoomba Private School, you have no idea what you have done for her self-esteem. Needless to say, Andrea was bit by the figurative travel bug and has not stopped traveling, netting 30+ countries, 5 continents and living in 5 countries.

Andrea escaped the humdrum life of suburbia by moving to New York City at 17 to study Journalism at New York University. She was told by a well-respected journalist she would never "make it" in television due to her décolletage. Clearly, this professor had never ventured to investigate the secret behind Victoria's Secret (spoiler alert: padding) or turned on a TV in the last decade. Taking advantage of NYU's abroad opportunities, Andrea studied in Florence, Italy, where she excelled in Italian Opera and the extra curricular wine tasting courses. Andrea then moved to London for the Boston University Internship Programme where she gained a spot in the highly competitive NBC News London Bureau newsroom, and dove into the world of hard news, covering the London 7/7 Bombings. The following year Andrea moved to Vancouver, BC to become the entertainment news apprentice for CTV News. Andrea graduated magna cum laude from NYU, realizing that she wanted nothing to do with the traditional newsroom and everything to do with entertainment.

AND SHE GOES VIRAL

Andrea landed her first hosting gig at the Webby-Award winning Fast Lane Daily, beginning a fruitful career at Next New Networks (it is now owned by Google and re-named YouTube Next). Over the 4 years at NNN, Andrea hosted and starred in numerous viral videos, including the Samsung sponsored "Follow Me" series, co-hosting the Barely Political tech channel "Barely Digital", and, of course, starring as various crazed celebrities in the #1 web series online, The Key of Awesome. Andrea's portrayal as the hot mess pop star Ke$ha in the Key of Awesome'sTik Tok Parody became the #2 most viewed YouTube video of 2010 and is currently well over 110 million views. There's something about short shorts and puking up glitter that makes the kiddies go mad.

HELLO TV!

Andrea began her career on the small screen as an entertainment reporter for TUN, which is broadcast on 200 college campuses nationwide. It was a dream job: watching movies before they come out and then talking to the biggest names in Hollywood, including Leonardo DiCaprio who said Andrea "Had me at Hello!" And yes, that is a direct quote from DiCaprio. Andrea also hosted for FX, Fuse, Epix and Mark Cuban's HDNet, before heading out to Hollywood, and taking her career to the next level. In 2012, Andrea fulfilled a lifetime goal of becoming a MTV VJ, shooting in Argentina for MTV's Essentials, airing in several countries around the world. Andrea also hosted KCAL's America's Best of Southern California, and PBR's Clash of the Cowboys airing on CBS Sports. Andrea continued her hosting career online for SyFy's first ever online series Blastr TV,  as well as Yahoo!, Clevver Movies, Hollyscoop, AOL, Huffington Post, Bleacher Report, and ULTRA music festivals worldwide.

TRAVEL EXPERT

In 2012, Andrea re-branded her popular YouTube channel as the travel destination on YouTube, presently known as How 2 Travelers. Her travel videos have been seen millions of times over and are also broadcast on Roku's Prime TV channel and featured heavily on various media platforms including, MSN Travel and TripFilms, the #1 travel online video destination. In 2015, Andrea's impressive travel background and exuberant personality landed her the co-host role on HLN's new travel series, "Vacation Chasers."
